Another Restaurant That Should Be In Everyone’s List

Mirchi and Mime is a game-changer in more than one ways! Nestled in the Powai area of Mumbai, not only does this restaurant boast of friendly staff that offer service with a smile, but all the waiters are hearing and speech impaired.

It is a place where food speaks loudly that the servers don’t need to. They have an easy-to-follow gesture glossary attached to the menu. Visitors can simply point at their selection and indicate the number of portions!

The owners, Prashant Issar and Anuj Shah, were inspired by Signs, a restaurant in Toronto, Canada, which is also has hearing-impaired servers.

There are some restaurants that serve great food and there are others that have a beautiful atmosphere and setup. But never before have I seen all these together under one roof, and that too in a restaurant that has its heart in the right place!
