We swipe up and down to be in touch with whats in,starting from the food we eat to what we wear should all be in trend. One of the trend setters is the high waisted pants which is inspired by the early vintage look. The high waisted jean first came into style when the denim manufacturer Levis produced jeans for women working on the land and in factories for the war effort in the 1940s. They were easier to work with and at the same time helped to retain their modesty while bending down to work.
It gained popularity when Marilyn Monroe did her debut in a movie with her shirts tucked in accentuating her curves, teamed up with a belt. The trend soon started to fade away when bell bottoms came into the picture in the 1970s. It was a unisex look and everyone wanted to own one of the pairs.
As time passed by ,the jeans were reintroduced by Guess..This time with a better look and fittings. The only thing that pops up in your head when you think of crop tops or vintage blouses are high waisted jeans. Nothing can give you a more casual or the “in” look when you team up a top with the same.
