We are staying in a country where the first priority of every parent is to ensure that their kid scores good marks in his academics. So, one studies either engineering or medical and settles down in life. Suhas parents wanted him to be an engineer as entrepreneurship wouldnt be the ideal career choice. When most of us were finishing assignments on time, Suhas had ambitious ideas in his head. During those times usage of the internet was very expensive and it was something that he couldnt afford out of his pocket money. He offered to help the owner of the internet cafe while he went for lunch and in turn, Suhas could use the internet for free. It is from that internet cafe that he started his journey.
Suhas talents earned him global recognition not only because of his age but also because of his innovative business practices. When 14-year-old Suhas started Web Design Company called Globals Inc from a cyber cafe in Bengaluru in the year 2000, he didnt know that he had become the youngest CEO in the world. Today, Globals is a multi-million dollar company with offices in the United States, India, Canada, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, Singapore and the Middle East.
In 2007, the European Parliament and International Association for Human Values conferred him with a Young Achiever Award. In 2008, he was invited to represent the World Banks ICT (information and communication technology) for discussing ways to increase internet penetration in Africa and use ICT for skill development in India. He is also recognized as one of the Young Global Leaders for 2008-2009 by the prestigious World Economic Forum. He is also the youngest member ever in the World Economic Forums history.
He has released ShopsUp app, which is a location-based shopping app which acts as your personal shopping companion. It will recommend what, when and where to shop and help you find the right products and stores in your neighborhood.
We can see that Suhas, really had IT in him.
