Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Nothing prepares you for the immensity of the vast dusty plains of the Serengeti National Park, which seem endless.The Masaai aptly named it ‘siringet’ which means “the place where the land runs on forever” .The Great Migration where more than 2 million wildebeests ,zebras and gazelles migrate from Serengeti to the greener pastures of Masai Mara from July to October is the greatest wildlife spectacle on the planet. Their constant movement between the two regions in their race for survival results in the dramatic river crossing across the Mara river. Designated as a UNESCO World heritage site, the park is home to thousands of bird and animal species which includes the Masai lion, African leapord, Tanzanian Cheetah, African Bush Elephant, Masai Ostrich, Kori bustards among others.
