The real life fairy tale castle

Have you ever wondered what inspired Walt Disney to create the Magic Kingdom? The Neuschwanstein castle in Germany is where the castles of fairy tales got its look from.
It was built by King Ludwig II in the 19th century. He longed for a perfect castle which took a lot of time for the construction. That’s a reason why he couldn’t even get to see it complete and hence the throne room remained without a throne. This castle wasn’t just his residence, it was where he could withdraw from the public life.
This castle with a medieval look had implemented all the technology of that time like the air heating system for the whole castle, automatic flushes in each toilets and so on.
The castle is located on a top of a hill overlooking the Hohenschwangau valley. The magnificent view from the top is bound to make you feel like you are in a fairy tale!
