18th century Germany Landscape Painter

Julius Ludwig Fried rich Runge, a German painter born in Robel in Northern Germany was a 18th century landscape painter. Runge’s featureless landscapes hinted at a globalized world, where he connected places and people situated anywhere. Landscape painting is the depiction of natural scenery in art.
Most of his paintings portrayed mountains, valleys, bodies of water, fields, forests, and sometimes it included man-made structures and also people. Runge’s paintings were mostly from Munich, Karlsruhe, Hamburg and Lindau.
