Most of us have been watching WWE, precisely from the time of legendary wrestler Shawn Micelles to Roman Reigns. This super stars have always given their best and put their body on line to keep their fans entertained worldwide. At the very same time, these superstars playing a noble role fighting against aggressive dominance that the young people are facing these days “bullying”.
WWE has started a community called as B.A.Star which is an anti-bullying initiative, their mission is to abolish differences and to encourage young people to treat each other with respect. Be a STAR promotes positive methods of socializing. Be a STAR has 58 alliance members associated with them including National Education Association Health Information Network (NEA HIN), GLAAD, The Ad Council and the United Federation of Teachers have partnered for this anti-bullying initiative.
Their goal to spread the word about tolerance and respect, here is where our favourite hero’s come forward. WWE Superstars and Divas visit two – three schools or community centres every month and they speak with students about bullying issues including sharing their own personal stories at the same time having fun and interaction. Many celebrities and public officials participated in these events. Through the Be a STAR website, over 30,000 people from all around the world have taken the pledge to end bullying through WWE’s Be a STAR program. It is great to see how our own favourite WWE superstars bonding with young people and bringing in positivity in them and inspiring them to be a star not a bully.
